CALIFORNIA SCREAMIN'
Somewhere in the Golden State sits a school, a camp, an auditorium, a synagogue, a community center, filled with Jewish kids basking in California sunshine, unknowingly and unwittingly future casualties of the madness emanating from modern Nazi fascism. Alarmingly, societal and governmental institutions not only have made this scenario possible, but they actively feed the left and right’s ever growing, ever multiplying hungry asps on Medusa’s snake-filled head, jaws open, fangs showing, ever ready to feed an appetite of venomous Jewhatred.
California’s black progressive Secretary of State, Shirley Weber, gave the golden seal of approval for the state’s 2026 primary voter’s guide, which includes brief positional papers submitted by the candidates for inclusion—thereby launching the biggest Jew-hating Israelophobic mailing ever sponsored by an American governmental entity.
Don Grundmann, a gubernatorial candidate, submitted a statement filled with the contemporary de rigeur libels against Jews and Israel. Among the most egregious were the Jews committed the 9/11 attacks, Israel murdered its own on Oct 7 to justify genocide and steal billions from Gaza’s oil rights. He accused the Jewish state of assassinating conservative icon Charlie Kirk, a solid advocate and defender of Israel. He also included a link to the Goyim Defense League, an internet site devoted to Jewhating Israelophobia.
Dr. Weber’s decision to print his text verbatim stunned the Jewish community, and many others. She refrained from editing or rejecting his candidate statement based on First Amendment rights, and restrictions imposed on the secretary of state to alter candidates’ submissions.
This was no ordinary position paper. Weber had not only the right but the obligation to challenge and, if necessary, reject the material. California had a compelling interest to protect the security of its people and the integrity of the election. Inflammatory, inciteful bigoted language against the Jewish community—especially in these volatile times—poses a serious risk to the safety of California’s Jewish and non-Jewish advocates for Israel, as well as innocent bystanders.
Grundmann played Dr. Weber very shrewdly. Black people, no friend of white supremacists, never got a mention. In fact, no other minority succeeded like the Jews in making his hit parade. The Jewhating Grundmann knew verbally assaulting African Americans—and progressive minorities favorable to her, would trigger a fierce backlash by her core political constituency. African Americans would immediately call her out on including anti-black racist text. Grundmann’s antipathy and nihilistic attitude toward Jews and Israel aligns him with national socialist progressives. For the secretary, she earns bonus points for including such an anti-Jewish tirade in a state government document.
The Voter guide was mailed to every California household. It should have carried a warning to parents that material unift for children is imcluded in ths booklet. The Secretary’s lame “not our opinion” disclaimer only raises more questions about her motive, judgment, common sense, and integrity.
By her inaction, she passive aggressively blessed Grundmann’s statement with the imprimatur of California, thereby stigmatizing the state, her office, and herself. ‘‘Ich folgte nur die Anordnung”—I was only following orders—response leads us to one judgment:
She must be removed from office.
